The HATC Foundation is a nonprofit subsidiary of the Housing Authority of Travis County (HATC) established to further its vision to develop vibrant communities which enhance and improve lives through the delivery of optimal programming and supportive services.
The HATC Foundation current focus is on these key Initiatives: Empowerment, Youth and Family Development, and a Resident Scholarship Program.
Advocacy is the cornerstone of resident involvement for the families living at one of the Housing Authority of Travis County (HATC) residential communities.
Resident participation has the potential to improve the overall management of a property in both quality and cost-effectiveness to protect resident interests, to create community and a social support system on-site, to empower residents as a group and individually, and give individual residents the opportunity to build marketable skills based on participation. For these reasons, HATC encourages and supports resident participation. Toward that end, Resident Councils have been established at three of HATC’s family developments: Alexander Oaks, Eastern Oaks, and Summit Oaks Apartments.
Resident Success Stories
The HATC Foundation will highlight accomplishments by residents such as obtaining a career and/or accomplishing educational goals. The HATC Foundation hopes to inspire and encourage other residents by sharing "Resident Success Stories” within the community
