This development is shaded by many mature live-oak trees and many of the residents have decorated their units with colorful plants.

The development is within a mile of public transportation including Capital Metro's Oak Hill Flyer.

Many of the residents have been living comfortably here for over a decade and have seen many improvements.

Some residents have served (or still do serve) on the Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners.

The duplexes available at Alexander Oaks include one through four bedroom units with an active community of families.

There are also several units that have been retrofitted to be accessible by disabled persons.

Playgrounds and indoor laundry facilities make family life more enjoyable.

The subsideized rent allows some families the ability to save up to buy their own homes through the award winning Lease Purchase program that the Housing Authority of Travis County has developed.
